The fuel tank vent line tee that connects to the charcoal canister is very important; if it is broken or disconnected, you have fuel tank vapors filling your engine compartment!
Of course, mine was severely cracked, and the chunk that connects the charcoal canister hose was almost gone.
This part, 211 201 405, is, unfortunately, almost NLA. Luckily, Golden Gate VW in Daly City happened to have one sitting on the shelf. Bought it and installed it today.
Now my fuel tank vent lines are completely renewed!
